"Our unconscious can even fool our feelings of well-being ..." Bookman.
Everyone knows that noise causes stress, which is bad for health. When you go to the beach, relax find you do by closing their eyes and listening to the sound of the waves is much more harmful than the sound of a motorcycle. Indeed, the decibels are higher on a beach. (except flat calm sea). Yet, the relaxation it gives you (feeling), is far from the reality of what your body undergoes. Bookman
Explanation: The image of the beach has been stored in your unconscious in combination with something beneficial. Yet further evidence, the unconscious and can handle any fool the conscience of imediate feelings. Bookmanie

  1. I have serious problems understanding what is the structure froid said the brain has, what I have so far is:
According to Freud, the mind can be divided into two main parts:

    1. The conscious mind includes everything that we are aware of. This is the aspect of our mental processing that we can think and talk about rationally. A part of this includes our memory, which is not always part of consciousness but can be retrieved easily at any time and brought into our awareness. Freud called this ordinary memory the preconscious.

    2. The unconscious mind is a reservoir of feelings, thoughts, urges, and memories that outside of our conscious awareness. Most of the contents of the unconscious are unacceptable or unpleasant, such as feelings of pain, anxiety, or conflict. According to Freud, the unconscious continues to influence our behavior and experience, even though we are unaware of these underlying influences. I think I understand it now, but can you reassure me using simple (if possible) words?

  4. Hi Bookmanie. This post was a shock to me because I was reminded of what my mother told me about my grandmother. My grandmother said she wouldn't want to live near the ocean because the noise was constant! It's true what you say...I have a sound-making device by my side of the bed and I select "ocean waves" to help put me to sleep!
